On Saturday, November 25 foreign students spent time at AltSTU skiing center. According to the annual tradition of the first winter days, IIEC students go to the forest to open the ski season.

Students spend the weekend in different ways. For example, IIEC translators decided to visit the Altai Theater of Musical Comedy: the choice was made in favor of the play «The Bat». It turned out that some students first visited the theater — this increased the interest in the presentation and the situation around.

On November 14, the students-translators had a «Travels Day». They met with the famous Barnaul traveler Maxim Lipovik and representatives of the well-thought-out travel agency Avianebo Roman Chutchev and Oksana Gensh.

In October 2017, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Head of the Department of History of the Fatherland of AltSTU Nikulina I.N. was in Poland to work on the project of the Polish-Russian Center for Dialogue and Consent «Poles in the cultural and social development of the Altai XIX-early XX centuries."

Irina Kolupanova, Director of the Regional Center for International Cooperation of West Siberian Universities, and Natalia Basenok, Director of the French Resource Center of AltSTU, took part in the French Language Teachers Meeting, taken place from 9 to 11 October at the Embassy of France in Russia in Moscow. The annual event unites teachers of partner universities, members of the French-language linguistic network.

AltSTU has agreed to cooperate with one of the largest classical universities in France — the University of Franche Comte. Rector of the University of Franche-Comte, Mr. Jacques Bahi has signed an agreement on educational, scientific and cultural cooperation with AltSTU. The agreement, previously signed by the rector of the AltSTU Andrey Markov, was handed over to the member of the international cooperation department of the University Franche-Comte Monsieur Maxime Blondel during his visit to the university in late September.

«Grand Altai Research & Education» (GARE) editorial board accepts the manuscripts of the articles, formatted in accordance with the requirements for the publication. 

On October, 23^rd students-interpreters had meeting with Eugenia Kozarenko – founder of partial people fund “Dobrolyuby”.

Stanislav Khomutov, acting Vice-Rector for Continuing Education, Dean of the Power Engineering Faculty takes part in a seminar on energy conservation and energy efficiency, which takes place from 23 to 27 October in Tokyo (Japan).

From 13 to 24 of November, 2017, professional organizations of higher education in Barnaul will host the 19th city scientific and practical conference of young scientists.
