Institute for Biotechnologies, Food and Chemical Engineering carries out fundamental and applied research on polymer chemistry, nano-materials and catalysts in order to create nutritious foods, control systems and automation of technological processes.
AltSTU test center for food and raw materials has a state-of-the-art laboratory to carry out research for the industry needs and organizations. The institute operates a small enterprise which manufactures water management equipment using innovative membrane technology. The institute researchers publish their research results in leading publication releases in the country and abroad. They closely cooperate with researchers from other countries.
