Grand Altai Development Institute (GADI) was created in AltSTU to coordinate effective cooperation of AltSTU with research, educational institutions and other organizations that have entered inter-regional association «Grand Altai HEI Council of Rectors».
Altai State Technical University initiated and proposed Council of Rectors platform. Today, the Council hosts about 30 leading educational institutions of Russia, Kazakhstan, China and Mongolia, which are the members of the International Coordinating Council «Our Common Home — Altai».
Grand Altai Development Institute supports R&D and marketing research, offers information resources in search of potential foreign partners for implementation of technological and business proposals. The Institute also assist in the implementation of joint educational programs, research fellowships, and academic practices. The Institute coordinates exchanges of graduate students and faculty staff, promotes information dissemination, new publication releases, etc.
One of the experts of the Institute Nikolai Mikhailovich Nikonov believes that the new Institute will greatly contribute to the quality of higher education, strengthening cooperation and inter-institutional contacts with the member states of Grand Altai.
The Institute has developed its international information portal, and presents new tourist routes.
