AltSTU delegation participated at the PMB meeting of Consortium of European and Russian universities in the framework of European Union Tempus project «Tourism lifelong learning network: a network of regional centers for Tourism» (Tempus project number 53750-TEMPUS-1−2012−1DK-TEMPUS-JPHES).
The meeting took place in the city of Edinburgh (UK). The meeting was represented by Aalborg University (Denmark), Vienna University of Applied Sciences (Austria), Napier Edinburgh University (Scotland), University of Brighton (UK), Coventry University (England), Tomsk Polytechnic University and Kemerovo State University. The participants shared their vision, experience and best practices of organization and implementation of programs for retraining and advanced training in service and tourism targeted for Russian regions. Professor of Aalborg University Henrik Halkier reported the outcomes of cooperation.
The participants discussed the issues of staff academic mobility in European partner universities. The consortium participants visited University of Brighton. In the course of the visit, the delegation held talks about the possibilities of international cooperation bbetween AltSTU and Napier Edinburgh University, AltSTU and University of Brighton. Both parties agreed on professional training courses for staff and summer language schools for students.
