AltSTU target cooperation with the Indian university
In the first days of 2015 AltSTU targets a cooperation agreement with the Indian State of Gujarat Technological University.
January 10 the official delegation of Altai Krai visited Indian State of Gujarat. AltSTU Rector Alexander Andreyevich Sitnikov and Dean of the Faculty of Food and Chemical Engineering Andrey Ivanovich Khlebnikov visited Gujarat Technological University. The official Altai Krai website source reported that AltSTU officials discussed issues of cooperation with the Vice-Rector of the Indian University Akshay Agarwal.
Both parties agreed to cooperate. Indian students will learn Russian language at AltSTU. Technical discipline courses for learners of Gujarat Technological University are also intended for Indian students. Altai university teachers will be engaged to guide the research of young foreign scientists. One of the collaboration aspects will cover exchange trips of AltSTU teachers to India to lecture to Indian learners and hold master classes.
In the short run, the representatives of both universities study carefully the educational programs at both universities, develop and coordinate a list of joint cooperation areas and as of the first half of 2015 enter into inter-university cooperation agreement.
AltSTU delegation visited International Trade Fair in the Indian City of Gandhinagar (Gujarat). A three-day International Economic Forum «Energetic Gujarat» took place on January 11. The program of the forum held plenary sessions, thematic round tables and discussion platforms on a wide range of economic issues.
