About campus
AltSTU campus has a ramified infrastructure:
• 7 dormitories;
• The passport desk, which carries out registration records of those living in dormitories;
• The rehabilitation center «Juventa», with a gym, a shaping room, a sauna and billiards room, as well as a choreographic studio;
• The household center or mini-laundry;
• 2 sports grounds.
The purpose of the student life and leisure in the dormitories, the coordination of the hostels student councils work and their interaction is the development of a culture of life, creation of safety conditions for the dormitory residents, conditions for classes (study rooms), organization of leisure in dormitories (an assembly hall for parties and discos, recreation room, sports room) and everyday life (washroom, laundry, drying room, ironing room) in specific conditions and in specific forms.
On-campus housing costs
- $423 (27 250 rubles) a year for improved accomodation;
- $153 (9 890 rubles) a year for economy accomodation.
International students share the dormitory with local students, which provides them with a perfect opportunity to practice their Russian in an informal setting outside the classroom.
All campus buildings are under 24-hour security surveillance.
The infrastructure of the dormitory vicinity offers grocery stores, a pharmacy, a student cafeteria and multiple cafes offering Russian, Middle Eastern and European cuisine.
