The Faculty of Humanities is one of the leading AltSTU faculties. It employs more than 200 faculty and staff. Faculty of Humanities operates 9 departments with 500 full-time students.

AltSTU Faculty of Humanities have a number of bachelor and specialist programs of training and faculty graduates are highly sought-after in the labor market. Master program in «Tourism» is also available for students. The most talented graduates who wish to pursue science, have the opportunity to continue their education in the faculty post-graduate school. Professors and graduate students of the Faculty of Humanities hold active research work.
International cooperation of the Faculty of Humanities is aimed at cooperation with foreign universities in the framework of educational and research programs, as well as participation in international competitions, grant worksips and science conferences. The faculty cooperates with universities and colleges in Poland, USA, France, Germany, Belgium, China, Mongolia and Kazakhstan. A big number of foreign students study at the faculty. As part of cooperation agreements, students and faculty staff have the opportunity to participate in traineeship programs in foreign universities. The faculty has participated in the TEMPUS program grants.
