About chair

UNESCO department started December 16, 1995 when the agreement to establish the department signed by UNESCO Director General and AltSTU rector.  Professor Alexander A. Tskhai had headed the department until September 2009.

Since September 2009, Professor Mikhail Y. Shishin, Ph.D. has become the department head.

Competences:

  • To disseminate UNESCO philosophy, open educational resources and   information technology in the region;
  • To implement priority projects in ecology and education; 
  • To involve Altai Krai higher education institutions in international university cooperation.
